Bodybuilding Career: I have competed in 14 competitions. I started
in 1999 once my wrestling career was finished with the U. of
R.I competed in a power lifting competition (bench press), which
I achieved the provincial record in 1999 for the 165 pound weight
class.
I have represented Canada at two World Championships
in Bodybuilding. I have the opportunity to represent Canada
again at the 2006 World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships
in Ostrava, Czech Republic in late October! I qualified by
winning the Bodybuilding Classic (short division) at the 2006
World Qualfier National Championships held in Toronto August
5th.
Growing up: I was raised in Hay River, N.W.T....pretty much
did my K-12 in this small town of 3000 people. My parents
were teachers and fell in love with the N.W.T.
I had a good life growing up in the N.W.T.!
Once I graduated, I moved to the U. of Regina to pursue a
degree and to wrestle for the the U. of R. Regina Cougar team.
I wrestled for the University of five consecutive years using
all of my eligibility up! I was co-captain my last year on
the team. We won the Canada West Championships (1994-96) as
a team!
Leo McGee (head coach) pushed me mentally
and physically, which I believe has given me great work ethic
in everything I try to do in my life! Parents have always
been supportive in everything I have done so I give them a
lot of credit as well!
